Tour Details

Under the watchful eye of an expert, we will create our very own tribal artwork known as the Warliart. Warliart is a beautiful folk art of Maharashtra. The most important aspect of the painting is that it does not depict mythological characters or images of deities, but community life.

The Warlis or Varlis are an indigenous tribe living in mountainous as well as coastal areas of Maharashtra and Gujarat. They speak an unwritten Varlilanguage which belongs to the southern zone of the Indo-Aryan languages. The  wall paintings by the Warlisuse a very basic graphic vocabulary: a circle, a triangle and a square. The circle and triangle come from their observation of nature –the circle representing the sun and the moon, the triangle derived from mountains and pointed trees.

  • The tour can be cancelled based on the discretion of No Footprints. The partners will be informed in advance of the same

Cancellation Policy

  •  This tour is subject to 100% cancellation fee if cancelled in 72 hours or less before the tour schedule
  • We work on a 100% advance payment before the tour
  • This tour is subjected to a 50% cancellation fee if cancelled between 4 days – 71 hrs
  • Rescheduling a tour 72 hours or less before a tour will be subjected to a 50% service charge. The tour rescheduling is at the discretion of No Footprints
  • Rescheduling a tour between 4 day hours – 71 hours will be subject to a 25% service charge. The tour rescheduling is at the discretion of No Footprints
