For a few days every year, C.R. Park becomes one of Delhi’s liveliest places to be. The pandals come alive, the dhaak starts playing, neighbourhood markets fill up, and food becomes a very serious part of the celebration. What began as a neighbourhood shaped by Bengali refugees has grown into one of Delhi’s most vibrant homes for Bengali culture and Pujo.
This Durga Pujo, join us as we go pandal hopping across C.R. Park, stopping at three different pandals to see how the neighbourhood does pujo. We’ll also step into a traditional home pujo.
And, of course, there will be food. We’ll make our way through some of C.R. Park’s famous markets, try Bengali sweets and snacks. Because Pujo is as much about eating, meeting people and laughing with friends as it is about the rituals.
Expect stories about the festival, plenty of walking, a lot of food, and even more fun.
