An instagrammable trip followed by building meaningful connections on a short tour introducing you to the street art district of Delhi. As most spaces in Delhi go, Lodhi Colony boasts of a long history both as the capital of the Lodi Dynasty in the 15th century to a Government housing and refugee settlement post 1947 after India gained independence. Over the years, Lodhi Colony has become popular for the vibrant culture space it offers and for the street art by renowned artists from all over the world.
This is India’s first open air art district that features large scale colourful murals on building facades. Artists from countries such as Spain, Brazil, France have contributed to the art of the district. The art isn’t just visually striking but also is a look into pressing issues: climate change, marginalized communities and even calling your mother no matter what.
Take a walk with us as you gain a deep understanding of the role of contemporary street art in Delhi and the issues and themes it aims to address.
The walk is followed by engaging in craft work at an inspiring NGO. While fostering meaningful connections with the community, witness the transformative power of art firsthand.
