Delhi, Mapped: A Treasure Hunt Through Mandi House

What happens when a city becomes too valuable to remain complicated?

Meet Dhanendra Dollarwal, an NRI businessman from Las Vegas who has come back to Delhi with a revolutionary idea: Delhi needs more value. More profit, more premium experiences and definitely, more things to monetise.

With his accountant, Asset Anand, he’s busy turning everything into an asset – theatre into entertainment, markets into lifestyle destinations, history into heritage packages and public spaces into “value-added” experiences.

But some things refuse to fit neatly into a business plan.

This September, three teams will take routes through Mandi House, solving clues and uncovering its cultural spaces, markets, political histories and everyday stories. Each team will collect pieces of a missing map, but no team has the whole picture. At the end, you’ll have to come together and put Delhi back on the map – complicated, creative, contradictory and made by many.
