A starting point for almost every soul that wants to explore the city, this tour too starts from the Gateway of India, Mumbai’s very own victory arch, built as a symbol of the power of the British. Ironically, this beautiful structure also marked the end of British rule. Furthermore, explore the Kala Ghoda neighbourhood, the city’s premier art district. You will drive past a large number of the city’s heritage buildings, museums, art galleries and educational institutions.
Post this, you get to see the Dabbawalas (Shut on weekends), the 6 Sigma workers of Mumbai sending over 5,00,000 boxes of lunch to their rightful owners with extreme precision. Driving down to what’s presently called the Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus (CST). The first train of India departed from CST. Today, the station sees a footfall of nearly a million people daily.
Our next stop has the power to make your jaw drop. It is an area where the laundrymen, more popularly known as the Dhobhis, wash the clothes of Mumbai folks. With nearly most of Mumbai’s washing done here, it comes as a little surprise that these guys can be safely christened as the ‘Washing Machines’ of Mumbai. The next stop, Mani Bhavan, a modest two-storied building, served as Gandhi’s Bombay headquarters for about seventeen long and eventful years (1917-1934). It was from Mani Bhavan that Gandhi initiated Civil Disobedience, Satyagraha, Swadeshi, Khadi and Khilafat movements.
No classic Mumbai experience is complete without indulging in its beloved snack—so we’ve included a hands-on Vada Pav workshop at a local restaurant, where you’ll not only learn to make this local favorite but also get to relish your own creation.

Cancellation Policy

  • We work on a 100% advance payment for the tour. If the payment is not done before the commencement of the tour, No Footprints can take a call of not conducting the tour
  • If the tour is cancelled within 7 days of the commencement of the tour: we will charge 100% cancellation fee
  • If the tour is cancelled within 8 to 14 days of the commencement of the tour: we will charge a 50% cancellation fee
  • If the tour is cancelled 15 days before the commencement of the tour: there will be no retention

Extras

  • The Victoria Terminus is possible only if the guest has a car at the disposal. If they dont, then we recommend an additional fair of INR 200 rupees for a taxi ride to the VT Station.
  • If you are staying at the ship at the Mumbai International Cruise Terminal and need a pick-up from the port, there are an additional cost of Rs 1000/- per person. This amount is to be paid in cash to the guide or the driver at the start of the tour.
  • For any tours in Bandra & beyond, away from South Mumbai, if you take our transport, you will be charged a toll on actuals. This amount is to be paid in cash to the guide or the driver at the start of the tour
